Welcome to Tara Student Community
Our London centre is a haven of tranquillity in the busy city. Not many people associate spirituality with London, instead going to a remote countryside or retreat space, but at Tara you can learn to develop that state of centeredness, calm and fulfillment in you, even where people are constantly active.
As a reflection of this cosmopolitan city, all ages, nationalities and people – from healers, to lawyers or builders – are part of our community.

Reflections for this month: May
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
– Anne Bradstreet

Spring has truly sprung. The long evenings of the British winter seem to be a long way behind us. Nature is in bloom, the previously reclusive sun graces our skin once more and the birds are in full song. Everywhere there is new life.
And so too at Tara. We recently had our first outdoor spiritual group event – a pilgrimage to Canterbury. The Tantric Eroticism series begins this Friday, and the month of May will end with a return of the Tantra Festival.
Spring is a time of new life, rebirth, re-invigoration. It is the perfect time for planning, and for “stepping out” on our spiritual journey. Winter fosters a more interiorised perspective, but spring draws us out into the world once more. And of course, if we embrace the Tantric perspective of polarising all our experiences with awareness, spring can be a time of substantial spiritual growth for us too.
