Tara has a vibrant team of dedicated teachers that is continuously expanding. All our teachers have a minimum of 7 years’ training and experience, which is reflected in their depth of knowledge and understanding. Each teacher is wholly dedicated both to their own practice and to their role in helping their students to understand and apply the teachings of Yoga and Tantra.
Tara is a registered charity, and all our teachers offer their time for absolutely no financial gain, being committed to their calling to help enrich the lives of others. If you have any specific issues or problems you need help with, they are able to give you specialist advice and will help you to direct your practice accordingly.

Maria Porsfelt
Maria started her journey of self-discovery through Yoga and Tantra in 2001 – a journey that started in Denmark and took her to both Thailand and India. She has been with Tara in London as coordinating teacher since 2009, teaching Yoga, Tantra and meditation, and facilitating women’s groups, and running workshops and retreats on various topics. Through her own practice Maria has discovered how, in accordance with universal principles and laws, each life experience has its own purpose and significance on the path to the realisation of the Self. The fundamental aspects of this journey include erotic fulfilment, and fully enjoying the beauty and sensual pleasures of this world while centring more and more in our true nature. Maria’s style of teaching is practical and approachable, expresses a deep understanding gained through personal experience and is animated by a great joy of life.
Morgan has been a dedicated and enthusiastic practitioner of tantra yoga for over 20 years. He is passionate about teaching and sharing his knowledge with others, inspiring them on their own journey of spiritual awakening and transformation. With a unique ability to bring clarity to ancient teachings, he combines his deep spiritual knowledge with broad life experience, helping him to convey spiritual ideas to a wide range of people in clear and insightful ways. He teaches yoga and tantra in Oxford and coordinates spiritual groups for men inspiring them to awaken their masculine potential.
Bogdan has been practising yoga and tantra since 1994. He has found that sharing his experiences on the spiritual path with others is the best way to teach, and a fast track for self-development and opening the soul. Bogdan also believes that love, manifested in the most concrete way, is helping others unconditionally – the very core of Tara’s mission. Expect a very down to earth and practical approach.
Alina has been practising yoga and tantra since 1990 and has been teaching yoga in Tara since 2008. For her Yoga is a lifestyle, a way of being, integrating the traditional and authentic spiritual knowledge in the modern daily life. Love, sincerity, divine inspiration, friendship, self-giving and caring are the guidelines for her spiritual path and the qualities she seeks to share with others.
Foca, born in Jerusalem, Israel, had a keen thirst for spiritual knowledge from early age. He started practising yoga and Tantra at the age of 17 (in 2001), and since then he has devoted himself to the spiritual journey. He has been teaching since 2009 in various places around the globe. Since 2011 he has been living in the UK, teaching yoga and tantra and offering various workshops on a wide range of topics from the purpose of life and the art of dying to workshops on masculinity, kama sutra and eroticism, he teaches in London and Cambridge and is guiding men’s groups.
Nikos started his spiritual journey by joining the path of Tantra Yoga with Tara in 2000. With an open and warm heart, he loves teaching yoga (since 2004) and Kashmir Shaivism (since 2017) at Tara. He also coordinates the spiritual group for men Mahavira Ananda. In his free time, he enjoys walks in nature and photography.
Magdalena’s Tantric journey began in India in 2001 and since then she has discovered a life full of transformation and personal growth. Intrigued by mysticism, sacred eroticism, and the wisdom of the heart, she aspires to share her love and passion for life in the classes and workshops she teaches. She also holds Tantra groups and workshops for women, where she inspires women to discover their profound, mysterious and powerful feminine nature.
Ben has been involved in this tantra yoga school since discovering us in India while he was exploring many aspects of spirituality there between 1999 and 2001. Being a musician, artist and former Steiner school teacher he brings a creative and heartful approach to teaching, which he has always found deeply rewarding. The connection between tantra and art has been a very important part of Ben’s life and here at Tara he has been able to explore theatre, dance, music and massage, as powerful ways to heal and awaken the soul.
Kate has had a dedicated practice in Yoga and Tantra since 2010 and is passionate about using Tantric methods for rapid self-development and spiritual transformation. Coming from an academic background, Kate discovered how a Tantric practice brings happiness and fulfilment in the heart of life’s storms and propels us ever forward on the path of Self-discovery. Especially devoted to the path of combining spirituality and eroticism, Kate teaches Tantra and Tantra groups for women.
Austin was fascinated by Eastern mysticism and the metaphysical from an early age. He practiced Martial Arts throughout his teens and later studied Psychology and the Healing Arts, before discovering the Yoga course (offered by our school) whilst traveling in India. As he practiced more, he soon realized that he had found his spiritual path and the desire was born to share the experience with others. Austin has been practicing Yoga & Tantra with Tara since 2000 and has been teaching since 2006.
Elizabeth has always been fascinated by different aspects of spirituality, and found the courses at Tara answered many of her questions, put everything into perspective, and provided a comprehensive understanding of many spiritual ideas. She started with Tara in 2005 and began teaching five years later. She co-runs our Centre in Oxford, and very much enjoys welcoming new students to our community and seeing their inspiring transformations.
Eleni has been practising yoga and tantra since 2000, which has profoundly touched her life. She enthusiastically feels that these authentic teachings are worth sharing to inspire others to remember their Divine essence and live a better, healthier, happier and more fulfilled life. She has been teaching Kashmir Shaivism since 2017. She is the coordinator of the group of deepening the communion with Angels, Archangels and other angelic beings of Light and is part of the organising team of the annual celebration of Angels and Archangels week. She also has a special interest in creativity and beauty as spiritual paths.
Josianne has been fascinated by the mysterious nature of life and its occult mysteries since her teenage years. After initially practising yoga from a book she found whilst living in South East Asia in 1997, she quickly realised that the effects of the practice were much more than those found only on the physical body. In 1999 she travelled to India to find a yoga teacher to gain a deeper understanding of her experiences and learn what Yoga really is.
Since then, she has dedicated herself to the study and practice of Yoga, Tantra and Kashmir Shaivism, aiming to incorporate these teachings into her daily life. Josianne has taught yoga since 2009 as a way to share these profound teachings and support others on their own journey.
Francis had a life transforming journey to India, where he started practising yoga and tantra in the year 2000. He has been teaching yoga since 2013 in different countries around Europe. He has special interest in spiritual healing, and the connection between body, mind and spirit.
Andrew has long been intrigued by the nature of the universe and self and how this reality reveals itself and is impacted by day to day life. He studied Psychology at university and has been a student of Yoga and Tantra since 2009. Andrew teaches Yoga and Tantra and runs men’s groups, which focus on the awakening and harmonising of the masculine potential. Teaching, for Andrew, and the sharing of this profound knowledge and practice offers a unique opportunity for fundamental and heart-opening transformation for both himself and students.
Alina began the study and practice of Integral Yoga at the age of fifteen, moved by a deep thirst to understand the nature of everything. Gradually, she found her home in meditation. She immersed herself into many spiritual traditions, fell in love with the Tantric philosophy and practice, Kashmir Shaivism, Advaita Vedanta and Esoteric Astrology. She weaves these together with Transpersonal Psychotherapy into one integral path. As a teacher of Tantra and Astrology, Alina loves sharing her vision that life is our deepest meditation, in a playful and approachable manner.
Iulia discovered yoga relatively early in life which comes across in the strong sense of spiritual purpose, positive attitude and joyfulness she radiates. Since that beginning in 1993 she has travelled extensively while maintaining a rigorous practice of Yoga and Meditation, enjoying and demonstrating the benefits of such a practice for women everywhere. She is overjoyed to now call Oxford home and is doing her bit to warm the hearts of academics from all over the world, teaching yoga there.
Gianfranco discovered yoga and tantra in 2008 whilst an Architecture student in Italy. Noticing the profoundly beneficial effects on his everyday life, he has continued to practise with enthusiasm and passion.
With the belief that you must share that which you love, especially if it helps others to grow, he thus became a yoga teacher, keen to help others discover this unique path of evolution. He has been teaching yoga classes at Tara since 2017.
Cristina started her spiritual path 21 years ago in Romania, as a student in Yoga and Ayurveda. She is now teaching yoga in Oxford and loves to share her knowledge to inspire, elevate and assist students in their own spiritual growth. Yoga is for her a way of life and daily practice gives her intense happiness. Meditations are one of her favourite techniques to help her connect with her inner self.
Kieran has been studying Tantra at Tara since 2010. Initially drawn to Tantra by an interest in eroticism, it was the game of polarity that turned his curiosity into a passion. For Kieran the interaction of the masculine and feminine is the juice of life. And playing that game, we discover and enjoy much transformation and inner growth along the way. His approach is practical and down to earth.
Inka has been on her spiritual journey for over 13 years, practising various modalities. However, none of them could fully answer the questions she felt within nor offered the tools and techniques for accessing higher levels of consciousness, deeper corners of her spiritual heart and awakening her own beautiful femininity and sensuality. Until she came across authentic Tantra and Integral Yoga 6 years ago.
Absolutely fascinated by the mysterious feminine nature and women themselves, Inka now uses all her knowledge and experience to guide other women on their journey of spiritual evolution.
I discovered yoga at a very early age and since then I incorporated the principles of yoga into my daily life. Yoga helped me to become more centered and more balanced, and I have been in a constant process of learning and inner transformation. I recently decided to share my experience with others by becoming a yoga teacher and a shakti group coordinator.
From a young age Mojdeh has been interested in finding the golden thread between a worldly life and spirituality, and the balance between the two has become more and more of a reality through a disciplined practice of Yoga and Tantra. Mojdeh has been a Tantra teacher for women for six years, while organising workshops, personal transformation programs, retreats and festivals both in Denmark and UK.
Cristina discovered Yoga at a very young age and it has greatly impacted her life ever since. Devoting her life to Spirituality, through practice and extensive personal studies, she felt inspired to teach and share knowledge with others. Her classes contain a holistic and systematic approach to obtaining inner balance, long-lasting and life-transforming effects. She also hosts lectures & workshops for women from all around the world, where she inspires women to discover certain aspects of their feminine nature.
Andra discovered Yoga at a young age, and since then she profoundly understood that life has a meaning only if it is integrated in a spiritual way with an alignment with the godly principles. She began her spiritual practice with a longing to awaken her soul and to discover her true Self. Fascinated by beauty and the visual arts, Andra discovered the mysterious presence of the Creator by admiring the absolute beauty that exists in everything around us. This led her onto the Tantric path and later inspired her to become a Yoga teacher, to share from her own experiences and help others to reveal the beauty of their spiritual heart. Andra holds lectures and workshops for women, bringing their radiant femininity to light and helping them awaken their feminine energy, power and self confidence.
Kirsty moved to London in 2017, as part of a search for more to life in a seemingly chaotic world. She soon discovered Tantra and an in-depth approach to spirituality, which began to bring coherence to both her inner and outer worlds. Since then, Kirsty’s passion and enthusiasm for practising yoga and meditation and applying the Tantric tools in her life has been a continuous endeavour. And, through a deeper understanding of femininity, Kirsty realised the importance both of becoming a spiritual woman and the beauty of being a woman.
On finding a deeper meaning to life, Kirsty also gained an aspiration to share the Tantric methods and teachings with others, in the hope that their lives would be enriched, as her own life has been.
Sorin is an enthusiastic yoga practitioner of over 30 years with teaching experience. He assiduously seeks to combine the teachings and practice of yoga with everyday life for a better transformation of his own existence and those around him, he believes that the accumulated spiritual knowledge has no value if it is not reflected in real life, both his and and sharing it with others who are open. He also capitalizes on ways to evolve through art, dance, and seeks ways to express his Self in real life.
