The Alchemy of Ecstasy – Amours Erotic secrets

Polarity, and the intensity of the game between the feminine and the masculine, is the source of power in our evolution and spiritual awakening. Tantra uses the power that comes with strong polarity to fulfil our greatest potential in this life through inner alchemical processes, triggering our transformation and a genuine shift manifests

When the game of polarity is alive and the process of inner alchemy is intense, ecstasy arises within, and with it comes existential joy and lasting happiness.

Through the eternal dynamics of yang and yin, of the Sun and the Moon, the masculine and the feminine, we can discover the pure and intimate manifestations of our soul.

Lectures, workshops, playful games, creative and sensual interactions will be the background of this elevated experience, that will unfold in a week-long magical atmosphere of connection and intimacy.

Application process

The Polarity Retreat is a beautiful adventure that is also transforming. Participants may inevitably reach certain limits, and we wish to create a safe and loving space where all participants have the opportunity to courageously face these limitations, and to open to transformation and a genuine leap of consciousness. We therefore evaluate the readiness of all those who wish to join the retreat, to ensure that this retreat is really suitable for them. We ask everyone who wishes to sign up to complete an application form. We may also invite you to have a conversation with us before concluding your application. Any questions about this can also be answered during the application process.

Testimonials from past Polarity Retreats

I attended Polarity retreat so far five times, and they have been watershed moments for me. The first time I participated was the first time I really “got” the idea of Polarity. In that retreat I became aware for the first time of the game between the masculine and the feminine. And this has impacted all areas of my life, from relationships to eroticism, to work and spiritual practice.

What I discovered in this retreat was everything my heart that I had deeply desired for many years beforehand. This retreat was a very special experience for me as I felt I could truly be who I was, who I truly am – a version of myself who’d been hiding just beneath the surface only occasionally coming out. After integrating the notions taught in the Polarity retreat into my life, I discovered a deeper happiness and freedom … Read more

What a great playground to experience the contrast of feminine and masculine energy exchange! It gives you a flavour of how we can play the game of life, not afraid to be a child again, not afraid to love, not afraid to care and to experience a whole new range of emotions that enhance the quality of our life and the quality of our human relationships!
It was one of the few events that I think transformed me deeply and I was never the same after it!
Ion
Tantra student, London
The retreat was extraordinary, but not for everyone as it required curiosity and openness to appreciate life from a whole new perspective. Being under the same roof with other women, learning and being inspired together, listening and watching them being moved and crying was beautiful and deeply nourishing. Then the time where we consciously (and with lots of curiosity) interacted with men at the retreat became the cherry on top.

I attended the Polarity Retreat in 2022. The venue was a gorgeous mansion in the serene English countryside. Men and women stayed in different parts of the building, creating a sense of mystery between us. The men spent time practising in the morning, to amplify our masculinity and solarity. I think it was on day 3 when we were first surprised by a visit from the women, and it was such a sublime experience, that I can still remember …

26th June – 2nd July
Bridgwater, Somerset

Happiness is an elusive concept – a state we all aspire towards, and a desire we want to fulfil. According to Yogic and Tantric wisdom, happiness is our essential nature. And a genuine and conscious search for happiness can lead us to the discovery of who we truly are!

Deepen your practice in our Tara Summer Retreat, and discover how Yoga and Tantra become beacons of light in finding deep fulfilment, true freedom and a sense of being fully ALIVE in our joy! By increasing awareness, we can find what truly brings happiness into our lives.

Looking at our fundamental needs, such as harmony, eroticism, purpose and spiritual evolution, this wonderful journey together will include yoga practice and meditations, talks and workshops, time in nature and deep social interaction – a time to explore your inner world as well as the beauty of life!

Join us on this adventure, and discover how the awakened luminosity of consciousness is your guide to happiness!

The Truth About Happiness

Waiting to be happy will be a process of endless waiting, however, the choice to be happy now, gives an endless happiness. This is the secret of being present with life.

Everybody wants happiness and no one wants a life of suffering. Yet the choice of living in a paradise or in hell does not belong to external factors. It is through our own choices that we make, that even in difficult external circumstances we can find happiness inside.

We often look on the outside to find sources of pleasure and joy and then we start to rely on them and even become dependent. This ultimately leads to a lot of unhealthy attachments and relationships. However, it is not possible for someone or something to truly make us long lastingly happy unless we make the choice to take The Path of Happiness itself.

We can try to rely on superficial fixes which may give us highs but also lows when the external source withdraws. Or we can go inside and seek the roots of happiness itself. If we decide to be happy beings, no matter what, that choice will take us to the source of happiness itself.

The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance, the wise man grows it under his feet.

Happiness is a state of mind characterised by feeling content, satisfied and fulfilled. The Greek word for happiness is ‘Eudaimonia’ which means spiritual good and wellbeing. Philosophers believe that Eudaimonia is the highest human good and is not synonymous with happiness in the same way most people consider happiness to be, but governed by elements in our attitude and by the resonances that predominate in our being.

If we are constantly looking on the outside for sources of our happiness, we will ultimately be disappointed in finding the long-term happiness we all seek. But is the answer then, only to look inside. And the answer to this is also ‘no’ as we cannot look on the inside with the same attitude we have on the outside. The key is to look inside but also integrate the external elements.

A wise man once said, ‘Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you are, are in harmony.’ This implies that true happiness requires a more holistic viewpoint, integrating all the elements to find the completeness within.

What you can expect

In this retreat we will look at five fundamental areas of our life that contribute to our overall state of happiness and fulfilment which is integral for the awakening of our soul:

1
Harmony and superior balance

2
Purpose and order
3
Relationships, love and togetherness
4
Virtues and the godly attributes
5
Creativity and beauty

Summer Retreat 2022: The Paths of Yoga ~ Follow the calling of your heart

Book Now
See info below
27th June – 3rd July
Somerset

The Sanskrit word “yoga” means union.

In its highest essence, yoga is a path of self-discovery towards union with the Absolute Consciousness. While all genuine yogic paths lead to spiritual awakening and the discovery of the Absolute Truth, because of our unique qualities and affinities, the way in which we walk the path is specific to each of us. Yogic wisdom says that everyone can find Yoga on their path. Everyone can discover complete union on their path of self-exploration.

The ancient yogis revealed five fundamental paths, which have been passed on over millennia.

What are these five paths of yoga?

  • Bhakti Yoga

The path of devotion and love. The aspirant who walks this path realises that love is the fundamental energy of Creation, and by merging with it he or she becomes complete, infusing all areas of life with the intensity of their devotion.
  • Karma Yoga

Is the path of perfectly integrated action consecrated to the highest. The karma yogi aims to fuse with the Universal harmony whilst working in the world. By selflessly offering himself in the service of others, he breaks the chains of Karma and sets himself free.
  • Tantra Yoga

The path of weaving all aspects of life into sublime experiences. By finding the meaning and sacredness of every moment, the aspirant discovers that all areas of life exist on a background of ecstasy. It is a path in which the aspirant fully embraces sensorial experiences, the polar game and universal principles.
  • Jnana Yoga

The path of wisdom and introspection. A path on which the aspirant embarks to fully understand the ultimate knowledge and realise how the truth shall set you free. The practice of Jnana yoga guides an examination of one’s own mind to discover the true centre of who we are.
  • Raja Yoga

The royal path of perfect control over the mind, and the awakening of kundalini. Raja yoga is the path in which the aspirant practises techniques of meditation, and realises the supreme consciousness, which prevails over all aspects within and around the yogi.

The retreat includes:

  • Presentations of each of the paths of Yoga
  • Deepening into each of the paths
  • Tools to fully find yourself on the spiritual path, to find the most suitable way for each one to walk the path, and ultimately to reach complete fulfilment of your true nature
  • Guided morning Yoga practice and meditations
  • Evening programme with social activities, rituals, games, creative moments
  • A chance to enjoy the beautiful nature of the grounds and nearby area

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the Self”

18:30 – 21:30

(This event is members only)

More than just a school, Tara is a community. A community of like-minded spiritual beings seeking a path of transformation. And while each one must walk their own path, there is a great benefit and need of support, guidance, friendship and reassurance from good friends and teachers walking the same path.

This school is founded upon its teachings and shared spiritual values. It is sustained by the people within who spread these teachings and share these values. A lot of “work” goes into establishing a spiritual community and this work is aimed to be done in the state of Karma Yoga – selfless giving. Karma Yoga is an attitude, when realised correctly can lead us all the way to spiritual realisation.

Because it is so important and such a useful tool on the spiritual path, we will run a 3-hour workshop for our students to explore and understand the attitude of Karma Yoga, meet people who have been working with this for many years, and to discover how we can get involved personally, should we choose to do so.

  • Learn the attitude of Karma Yoga
  • Learn skills to benefit daily life and work
  • Discover how Tara runs with helpers
  • Experience Karma Yoga first hand

  • Meet some of the Tara team running the school
  • Experience a practical example of Karma yoga in action
  • Discover how you can help
  • See the skills and help most needed

Opportunities to practise karma yoga in Tara

Help is always welcome at Tara and a great chance to practise karma yoga together with some of our full-time karma yogis. The type and quantity of help offered by our students and members of the community vary a lot. Some people volunteer every week on reception, some help out as and when on events while others work on specific tasks like interviewing students or reviewing events. There is no fixed formula and everyone has something to offer that can be of use to the centre and the community. But just to give you a flavour, here are some common areas where help is always welcome:

  • Reception
  • Maintenance of the centre
  • General admin
  • Database management
  • Website management and SEO
  • Content creation
  • Journalism

Testimonials about Karma Yoga

Karna Yoga has become a path of spiritual transformation in itself for me. I started it because I wanted to offer something but I realised I was the one who benefitted the most.
Jean Bernard
Tantra and Yoga student, Reception manager
When I do Karma Yoga I feel like I am giving 1 step towards god and he is giving 10 steps towards me, with all the blessings and beautiful things that I receive .
Danielle
Tantra student and receptionist
For a long time, I was doing volunteer work at Tara and it made me very happy. But after studying a little more and understanding things deeper I aimed to shift my perspective from volunteer work to a state of Karma Yoga. When I succeed to have this state, nothing makes me feel more fulfilled.
Kieran
Tantra student, website manager

Faqs

Do you have to be able to commit hours to help in order to join the workshop?
No. This workshop is open to any student of Tara. Even if you just want to understand the notions of Karma Yoga in order to apply to your day job, you are still very welcome to join.
I don’t think I have relevant skills to offer. Should I still come?
Of course. Everybody has SOMETHING to offer. This workshop may just help you discover the gift you have.
I am very interested but unfortunately, I am not available on Friday the 4th. Is there any way I can still get involved?
Yes. In this case please contact foca@tarayogacentre.co.uk or speak with Kate.

Some happy Karma Yogis 🙂

‘Die before you die and you shall become immortal.’

Rumi

In all ancient spiritual traditions of our planet the role of Death has played a mysterious and vital role in striving for spiritual accomplishments and inner realisations.
Why are we so fascinated by this apparent end of our existence? What is concealed in this powerful and inevitable event following any process of becoming?
According to the initiates, the moment of dying is a mysterious initiation into the secret of life.

This crucial transition into the next world is in fact a very privileged opportunity to realise the natural source of our existence and the purpose of our life.

What you will learn:

  • Spiritual perspectives of death in different cultures and traditions
  • The existential importance of contemplating death
  • Realising that which is ephemeral and that which is eternal
  • Understanding the parts of the being that reincarnate
  • The value of near-death experience, and what can be learned from them
  • Rites of passage. That life is infused with the death of the old to welcome the new
  • How we can help those who are dying
  • How we can prepare for our own inevitable death
  • Practising the art of dying – which is the art of living, in daily life
  • Kaya Kalpa, a practice of meditation in darkness
  • Meditations related to the topic

Deepening the spiritual practice of Hatha Yoga

Yoga Sutras:
There is no yoga without mental focus
.

Hatha yoga is so much more than just physical exercise. There is the potential for huge spiritual growth, if approached with the correct understanding, relaxation, awareness and a love for the practice, based on self-acceptance and a genuine aspiration to awaken our fullest potential.
We will learn the fundamental principles of the yoga system and discover the esoteric keys that will unlock the true spirituality of yoga practice and demystify this ancient tradition.

The results of our yoga practice depend on the level of awareness we practise it with.

Throughout this weekend, we will dive deeper into the fundamental mysteries of the Hatha Yoga postures, so that they truly become a fast and efficient way of positively dynamising and transforming the body and the invisible layers of our being. This is an experiential weekend with a combination of theory and practice, appropriate for both beginners and more advanced practitioners, so that whatever your level, you can improve awareness and therefore deepen your practice of Hatha Yoga, allowing great leaps to occur in your spiritual transformation.

Book Now
Early bird £550 (until 14th February)
4th-10th April 2022
Somerset

Join us for a retreat like no other, in which you will be totally immersed in the paradisiacal world of Sacred Eros. Get ready to shed taboos and limited perspectives, to discover a new YOU, free of all limitations. In this retreat, we will take a journey into sublime eroticism, aiming to uncover and assimilate a new perspective on sexuality, in a totally immersive experience.

Retreat activities will include daily yoga and meditation sessions, talks, open discussions and above all, plenty of playful experiences. Some activities will be separate for men and women, to explore and understand the game of polarity between the sacred masculine and the sacred feminine, and to charge the moments that are shared together. Whether together or apart, the aim will always be to create a supportive, beautiful and uplifting environment, in which we can truly experience Heaven on Earth.

Bookings only via email to events@tarayogacentre.co.uk

This retreat comes with a warning: it may change your life! The journey we will take is profoundly transforming and may help you to find answers in unexpected areas of life. Most of all, we hope that you will take this experience of Sublime Eros home, filling your life with fulfilment, beauty and ecstasy.

The retreat may include nudity and explicit sexual content (shown in art, films etc). But if you come expecting an orgy, you will be disappointed! Participants will never be pressurised into any form of sexual interaction; in most of our activities participants are clothed, and nudity is always optional.

Price includes accommodation and 3 meals per day. Travel expenses are not included. More detailed information coming soon.

Testimonials from past Polarity Retreats

I attended Polarity retreat so far 5 times and it was a watershed moment for me. The first time I participated was the first time I really “got” the idea of Polarity. In that retreat I became aware for the first time of the game between the masculine and the feminine. And this has impacted all areas of my life from relationships to eroticicsm to work and spiritual practice.
Kieran Dee
Tantra student, London
What I had discovered in this 10-day retreat was everything my heart had deeply desired for many years beforehand. This retreat was a very special experience for me as I felt I could truly be who I was, who I truly am – a version of myself who’d been hiding just beneath the surface only occasionally coming out. After integrating the notions taught in the Polarity retreat into my life, I discovered a deeper happiness and freedom in all areas of life. I have a lot to thank the teachers and the entire team for from these retreats. And I look forward to next!

Join us in meditation on the night of Shiva, a celebration in adoration of Shiva, the night before the New Moon, and the most auspicious moment in the month for meditation.

Shivaratri is celebrated 12 times a year, just before the rising of the new moon. It is called the night of consciousness, and it is the night in which we celebrate the light of awareness that shines within.

In a world of energy, movement, development, entropy, a world of Shakti, there is an underlying matrix of information, structure and meaning.

Shiva is the aspect consciousness present both at the individual, manifested level and at the cosmic level, the one who will guide us back to the essence of our being and to the real source of it all.

We will explore this concept as preparation for the Shivaratri Meditation, which takes place in the most auspicious moment of the month, the New Moon, when connecting with the deepest and most transcendental aspects of ourselves becomes easier.

We invite you to join us in this inner celebration of the Light of Consciousness, so that we may spread this light outside.
