As part of building our community in Tara, and to experience the beautiful English countryside and its numerous sacred sites in a spiritual way, we are excited to be launching the Tara Pilgrimage Community Group.

What is a Pilgrimage?
Pilgrimage in England has taken place since hunter-gatherers followed well-worn tracks, which then became ritualised journeys in Celtic and medieval history and in early modern Christianity.

Usually done on foot, a pilgrimage is a journey to a sacred place that touches the hearts and souls of the pilgrims, drawing them closer to God.

The purpose of a pilgrimage is spiritual growth, and can often start with an intention, or questions such as: Who am I? What is my purpose in this life? What do I need to hear now? What do I need to draw me closer to my true spirit? What do I need to heal? By asking these questions the pilgrimage becomes both an inner and an outer journey. The spiritual practice of pilgrimage can also begin without an intention or initial awareness, and it is only on later reflection that the pilgrim realises that their life has been spiritually enriched by the journey.
On the pilgrimage it is important to cultivate an attitude of self-reflection and openness, and attention to what comes to you. Without this awareness, the pilgrimage can become just a walk in the countryside, and lack a deeper purpose.

You are invited to join us on 30th April 2022 and follow in the footsteps of this thousand year old tradition of English pilgrimage, uncovering the secrets of the Pilgrims Way to Canterbury. We will share this moment of spiritual awareness by walking 4.5 miles along the Pilgrims Way, finishing at Canterbury Cathedral.

If you would like more information, and to join this Pilgrimage please join the Telegram Group by clicking the link below.

We are very much looking forward to sharing this experience with you!

This is a free event open for our members only. Although the event itself is free, participants may incur costs for travel, food etc.

Sunday 20th March
London
2-9pm

Let’s begin the Astrological New Year together, and on the right foot!

On Sunday 20th March we celebrate the beginning of a New Astrological Year, marked by the Spring Equinox. Also the 20th March is International Astrology Day. You are wholeheartedly invited to join us, and to immerse yourself in the magical world of Astrology, for a day of meditations, free mini astrological readings, workshops, and astrological fun!

The Spring Equinox holds great importance for many reasons. It is on the equinox that the sun transits exactly over the equator of the earth, and the hours of daylight and darkness become equal almost everywhere on Earth. This is a time of balance and wholeness, of perfect harmony between the yin and yang energies.

The moment of the Spring Equinox hiatus also marks the entering of the Sun into the fiery sign of Aries, ushering us into the season of spring. This energy helps us to be more daring, full of initiative and a pioneering spirit, enthusiastic and ready for a new chapter of our lives. This is an auspicious moment to set the right intentions for this new cycle, to sow the right seeds to create a spiritual leap. Together, on 20th March, we will consciously take this first single step in this new cycle of our life-journey.

This event will include:
• A meditation in spiral formation – of communion with the special moment of the Equinox
• Short talks, including a short-and-sweet crash course in Astrology
• Free mini natal chart astrology readings
• Workshop on Mars and Venus – When Eros meets Love
• Discover yourself and others through the eyes of Astrology – Astrology Spiritual Speed Dating
• Astro Party

Important Notice: If you would like to receive an Astrological mini-reading for free on the day, please email alinac@tarayogacentre.co.uk by 18th March with your natal details (date of birth, exact hour, city and country). Participation to the Astrology readings is completely optional, but booking for the event is still essential.

We are very much looking forward to being with you, to sharing joy, fun, spirituality and our love and fascination for Astrology, and most of all, to diving deeper within. This event is free/donation and open to our members only.

‘Die before you die and you shall become immortal.’

Rumi

In all ancient spiritual traditions of our planet the role of Death has played a mysterious and vital role in striving for spiritual accomplishments and inner realisations.
Why are we so fascinated by this apparent end of our existence? What is concealed in this powerful and inevitable event following any process of becoming?
According to the initiates, the moment of dying is a mysterious initiation into the secret of life.

This crucial transition into the next world is in fact a very privileged opportunity to realise the natural source of our existence and the purpose of our life.

Questions around life and death are valid across all cultures, this workshop has been equally successful since 2011 in Stockholm, Malmo, Lisbon, Chiang Mai, Bucharest, Oxford, London and Copenhagen.

What you will learn:

  • Spiritual perspectives of death in different cultures and traditions
  • The existential importance of contemplating death
  • Realising that which is ephemeral and that which is eternal
  • Understanding the parts of the being that reincarnate
  • The value of near-death experience, and what can be learned from them
  • Rites of passage. That life is infused with the death of the old to welcome the new
  • How we can help those who are dying
  • How we can prepare for our own inevitable death
  • Practising the art of dying – which is the art of living, in daily life
  • Kaya Kalpa, a practice of meditation in darkness
  • Meditations related to the topic

Booking

  • Members: £120
  • Non-members: £150

Death and Spirituality Podcast

If you would like to get a flavor of the Art of dying workshop, then have a listen to this podcast Foca did with Vivienne Rush. In the (25-minute) interview, Vivienne quizzes Foca on everything from the Tantric perspective on death to the blockages people face relating to death, to how a change of perspective can fuel spiritual transformation.

While this interview is not a preview of the upcoming workshop, it does provide some hints as to what might be revealed.

Testimonials

We have held this workshop many times since the first one in 2012, in several different countries, supporting hundreds of people around the world in discovering the art of Living and Dying. Hear from previous participants about their experience:

“Thank you for a wonderful and life changing workshop. I feel that it really gave me more appreciation for life and is helping in making better and more valuable decisions ”
Egle

I attended your course The Art of Dying last year. It was such an informative weekend and in a way really helped when my Mum passed away in June last year
Elien
“I very much enjoyed the workshop, very informative and the practical aspect of it was a bonus. Many thanks for the additional references.”
Carmen
“I did this course in 2022 and it transformed my attitude to death and dying. I had been alongside loved ones in their final days and seen how they readied themselves with acceptance and dignity. I hoped it would be the same for me in time, but I certainly didn’t have an attitude of acceptance. I needed some help and preparation. So off I went on the workshop and what a journey of inquiry and experience it was! Eye opening in fact! I was nervous to do it and…Read more

This mind opening workshop gave me the tools to appreciate and start practicing the art of dying. Which really means becoming better in the art of living. Warmly recommended!

Join us in meditation on the night of Shiva, a celebration in adoration of Shiva, the night before the New Moon, and the most auspicious moment in the month for meditation.

Shivaratri is celebrated 12 times a year, just before the rising of the new moon. It is called the Night of consciousness, and it is the night in which we celebrate the Light of awareness that shines within.

In a world of energy, movement, development, entropy, a world of Shakti, there is an underlying matrix of information, structure and meaning.

Shiva is the aspect consciousness present both at the individual, manifested level and at the cosmic level, the one who will guide us back to the essence of our being and to the real source of it all.

We will explore this concept as preparation for the Shivaratri Meditation, which takes place in the most auspicious moment of the month, the New Moon, when connecting with the deepest and most transcendental aspects of ourselves becomes easier.

We invite you to join us in this inner celebration of the Light of Consciousness, so that we may spread this light outside.

Autumn Equinox Yang Spiral – For Members Only

On Wednesday 22nd September, there is the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.

We warmly invite you to join us in meditation, to celebrate together this auspicious astrological moment. Every year, during the autumn equinox, we are showered by an energetic balance between the yin and yang aspects, due to the fact that the Sun is above the celestial equator and the day is equal with the night. This generates in our inner universe a state of perfect harmony between the two polarities, between the feminine and masculine and creates the necessary conditions to achieve the state of androgyny. As well, this facilitates the spiritual communion with Shiva Ardhanarishvara, the perfect fusion of Shiva and his beloved Shakti.

19:00-19:25 Short talk about the significance of the Autumnal Equinox and the principal astrological aspects of this occult moment
19:25 -19:50 Forming the spiral
19:51 -20:51 The meditation of communion with the Autumnal Equinox (with music)

The peak time of the AUTUMNAL EQUINOX is Wednesday, September 22nd, at 20:21.

This is a free event open for our members only.

The Autumnal Equinox represents the moment of transition from the summer to autumn, from the earthy zodiacal sign of Virgo to the airy zodiacal sign of Libra. All our beneficial actions that are performed during this period can be predominantly charged with the state of harmony and love; the lower aspects of the Virgo sign are sublimated (persistence in unnecessary actions, almost obsessive preoccupation with material duties and dry analytical thinking) in the elevated aspects of the Libra sign (detached love, elevated feelings and artistic inspiration, spontaneous sense of measure, refinement, romance). This special moment is very auspicious for transcending the limitations and compulsions of one’s physical longings, for harmoniously learning to combine the practical and useful with the pleasant and aesthetic, the material with the spiritual sphere.
